Holiday Inn - the niu, Amity Potsdam by IHG

Breakfast Breakfast had a good variety across the cold buffet, and a well put together, but very limited hot buffet. Very reasonable, quite tasty, and I was satisfied. Coffee was available via machine, and was fine. I particularly appreciated the ginger shots as I was staying in autumn and the cold was beginning to intensify. Bedroom Comfortable, and not too crowded or cramped. The decor was a bit quirky and potentially a tad American, but on the whole the room was well designed. Staff Generally quick and competent, as well as informative. No individual standouts, no complaints, everything worked as it should.

We loved the vibe of this hotel : the colors, the organisation of the reception, breakfast room and bedrooms. Everything looks new. We got to “suites” with kitchen. 3rd and last floor. With an Amazon view on the city center and the river. It is closed to the train station as well as closed to the city centers and 20 mn walk to the Sansouci Park. The staff is quiet, welcoming and helpful. We even extended our stay. The rooms are large, the kitchen is very well equipped. The bathroom is also large with plushy towels. The beds are very confortable. There is a coffee machine in the room and the Reception gave us extra coffee cpas. The hotel is very clean. There was no space in the underground parking on Saturday but we were lucky to find a place in the street : it is free from Saturday 6pm to Monday 8pm. However the hotel proposed us outside spaces. On Sunday evening we got spaces underground at 15€ for the night. There are many restaurants in the area. The breakfast at the hotel is very good, fresh, continental, sugar and salty. the staff makes sure there are all the products on display. It is a bit more crowds after 8:30 but there is a very large space with many tables. We will come back either renting a suite or a classical room.

The location is good, close to the main train station but about 10 mins walk to the city centre and main shopping and dinning street. My room and bathroom were big and clean, the shower was modern. The bed was comfy and the wi-fi was good. Breakfast was good but definitely not in the standard of a four star hotel. Outside the rooms in the hall, the hotel walls and the carpet are dark, which is not very welcoming.

Super location, next to station, easy walk or many trams into town. Given quiet room facing the quadrangle on 3rd floor so nice and quiet. Lovely, friendly and very helpful staff. Very clean, very comfy beds and good pillows. Good shower, decent towels.

What a perfect stay! Underground parking for 15 euro/day, direct elevator to reception and rooms, very friendly and down to earth staff, cosy lobby with inviting bar, compact but well selected bteakfast option incl. Gluten-free Schär bread, super hygge rooms, shower works perfectly, bed comfy, company invoice within 60 secs during check-out, full points!
